Cameron Mountain Alpacas is located in
the historic Virginia Piedmont halfway between the ancestral homes of James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. Our pastures are
tucked behind a vineyard just off the Constitution Route, the road frequently travelled by these and other great American
thinkers.
A trip to this area should include historic Charlottesville and a tasting at one or more of the dozen or
so world-class wineries within an hour's drive of our farm. There are three (!) within ten minutes! And another one --
Sweely Estate Winery -- about 15 minutes away. Barboursville Vineyard, Winery and Restaurant is closest to Cameron Mountain Alpacas.
We will be happy to recommend a weekend's worth (or longer) of delightful visits to these vineyards, to historic
sites, scenic drives and to other quality alpaca breeding operations in the area.
