Cameron Mountain Alpacas

We are participating in a groundswell of alpaca fiber producers who are committed to putting North American grown fiber into production for the North American market.

Starting with our 2007 harvest ("clip") we have submitted all our fiber to the North American Alpaca Fiber Producers cooperative. This cooperative lets us retain ownership of our fiber from shearing through to end product. The items you see on our NAAFP coop page are made from our fleeces processed with the advantage of pooling with other alpaca fiber producers to create exceptional products on a more economical scale -- all processed completely in the U.S.

Our rugs and many other products are on display at the Barboursville Gift Gallery just one mile from the entrance to our farm.
If you are in the area be sure to allow time to explore this shop. It is full of imported antiques and locally made art and artistic crafts in a cozy and elegant setting. Sit by the fire or warm yourself by the real wood cook stove; during the summer browse the collection of outdoor art and plants while listening to the ducks and chickens chatting over their smorgasbord while cows graze in the adjacent pasture. Featuring creations by dozens of local Virginia artisans, photographers, wood crafters, basket weavers, knitters, weavers and more all artfully intermixed with old world antiques, quaint memorabilia, and on and on.

And there are plants (and compost from our farm) in the summer, pumpkins in the fall, wreaths and wintry decorations in the winter.
