Our 'farm yarns' are made from our alpacas' fiber and custom-spun for us. There's more information about this in the category description. Of course our hand-felted figures and ornaments are made from our fiber and usually from an alpaca's first shearing. We love working with the little curls that come off when a spring baby is shorn at only a few weeks of age. Needle-felting is probably the best use for this type of fleece.
We are also very proud to carry products made from our fiber by our fiber cooperative. If it is sold on this site, our fiber was used in its manufacture pooled with fiber from other small producers across the continent. See the category called, "Alpaca the way it should be."
